BENTON COUNTY, Wash.-A brush fire that burned about 20 acres between Prosser and Benton City on the morning of June 27 is now out.
Fire crews responded to the fire along eastbound I-82 around 2:30 a.m., according to West Benton Fire and Rescue.
Multiple crews from around the region assisted with the fire and a total of 12 trucks and a bulldozer were used to contain the fire quickly.
According to West Benton Fire and Rescue, the fire was out within an hour, however, crews will remain on scene throughout the day to mop-up and prevent any flare ups.
No injuries were reported in the fire and no buildings were threatened.
