The Washington State Patrol says a 5-year-old child was among the two occupants injured in the rollover crash on Monday.
According to a WSP press release, the SUV was reportedly heading southbound on SR 397 taking westbound I-82 when it left the roadway and rolled.
WSP says drugs or alcohol were involved. The cause is under investigation and the 43-year-old driver, who was also injured in the crash, is pending charges.

Two occupants have been transported to the hospital after their SUV left the road near the intersection of US 397 and Locust Grove Road in Benton County.
According to Benton County Fire District #1, at approximately 4:19 p.m. the SUV ran off the roadway with two people inside.
Both were transported to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.
BCFD#1 advises travelers to slow down due to thick fog and icy and wet roads.
The crash is under investigation by WSP.
