KENNEWICK, Wash. – Kennewick Police arrested two people on Saturday, Nov. 23 after they received reports of concert-goers being charged for parking in a city lot.
Kennewick Police Non-Emergency Dispatch told a NonStop Local reporter that several people reported the scam and the parking lot was about half-full when Toyota Center officials were notified. Parking at the Toyota Center and the overflow lot across the street is always free.
In a Facebook post KPD said anyone who was charged can contact KPD to be listed as a victim but they cannot reimburse anyone since the money is involved in a crime.
