YAKIMA, Wash.- UPDATE 11:17 a.m.: A 15-year-old girl was found dead after a possible gang-related shooting at McGuinness Park Friday night, according to the Yakima Police Department.
Police said officers responded to shots fired at 9:20 p.m. where they found the girl dead due to an apparent gunshot. The shooting was reported by a resident in the area.
YPD said the Major Crimes unit is leading the investigation. They are looking for any information from the public to identify the suspect or suspects involved in the shooting.
