YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. – Update Sept. 29 5:45 p.m. A crash on state Route 821 left one dead and sent a 3-year-old to the hospital Sunday afternoon.
In a press release, Washington State Patrol said 30-year-old Seth Conyers of Wenatchee drove his motorcycle into a 2012 Buick Enclave as the driver turned left from state Route 821 into Pomona View.
According to Trooper Sarah Clasen, the motorcycle hit the SUV at a high speed. The SUV’s driver did not suffer any injuries, but emergency responders took a 3-year-old passenger to Multiacre Yakima Memorial Hospital.
Officials closed the highway from Harrison Road to Pomona Road for a few hours. WSP said it is still investigating the cause of the crash.
