RICHLAND, Wash. – Fire crews in Richland extinguished a fire at the ATI Materials building, according to the Richland Fire Department.

RFD Deputy Fire Chief Randy Aust said the fire started at around 4 p.m. Upon their arrival on the 3100 block of Kingsgate Way, RFD found smoke and flames coming off a dust filtration unit outside the building.

All ATI employees had already evacuated the building by the time fire crews arrived. The fire was taken out within minutes.

Aust says the building did not take major damage and the filtration unit will need to be replaced. Employees returned to work shortly after.
